Connecting to Contracts - WEConnect
Are you a women entrepreneur and looking to grow your business? Connecting to Contracts is a program that can help you grow your business and expand profitability by connecting you with corporate, government, and global contracts. As a regional partner of WEConnect Canada, Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan encourages entrepreneurs to be part of this program.
What is WEConnect Canada?
WEConnect Canada is a non-profit organization that certifies businesses that are owned, managed and controlled by women and connects then with the growing corporate and public sector demand for diverse suppliers. Some of the benefits to your business from certification include access to training, mentorship and coaching, inclusion of your company profile and details in the WEConnect Canada database, and business to business trading and partnerships created with other WEConnect certified businesses. Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan conducts the documentary reviews and site visits to businesses to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria set out by WEConnect Canada. Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan is a Community Partner of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF). The CYBF is a national charity providing pre-launch coaching, business resources, start-up financing, and mentoring to help you start your own successful business. If you are between the ages of 18 and 34 and have a business idea, they can help!
The CYBF program is all about support from the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey right through all of your milestones. CYBF lends young entrepreneurs up to $15,000 for their start-up and has teamed up with the Business Development Bank of Canada to provide up to $30,000 in additional financing. Existing CYBF entrepreneurs also have access to expansion financing of up to $10,000.
